Overview

Venture off the beaten path to the rugged beauty of Northern Kenya. Samburu offers unique wildlife found nowhere else and a deep cultural experience with the Samburu people. Samburu National Reserve in Kenya's arid Northern Frontier is home to the famous "Samburu Special Five" — five species found nowhere else in Kenya. Set along the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River, the reserve is a dramatic landscape of semi-arid scrub and rocky outcrops that rewards those willing to venture north.
